Berret & Cap-badge
Berret: -formed so that cap-badge aligns with left eye
​Cap-badge: -use Royal Canadian Engineers Cap Badge

Hair: Male + Female
Male: -does not touch ears or collar on full dress uniform
-does not stick out from under berret
Female: -in a bun with hairnet
-bobby pins optional
-gelled down so fly-a-ways do not appear
-if short, follow male hair standards
How to tie a tie
Single Windsor Knot
1. Start with the wide end of the tie on the right and the small end on the left. The wide end should be two times longer than the smaller end
2. Wide end over the small end to the left.
3. Up into the neck loop from underneath.
4. Down to the left.
5. Around the back of the small end to the right.
6. Up to the center, towards neck loop.
7. Through the neck loop and down to the right.
8. Across the front to the left.
9. Up into the neck loop from underneath.
10. Down through the loop you've just created in the front.
11. Tighten the knot by pulling down on the wide end. Slide the knot up & adjust.
Lanyard, medals, and pins
Lanyard: -looped around the left arm
-tied off, knot hidden under armpit
-loose end and extra lengths placed inside left breast pocket
Medals: -centered on right breast pocket
-0.5 cm space between name tag and medal
Pins: -centered on the middle column of the right breast pocket
-If there are two pins, leave 0.5 cm gap in between them

Sleeve Badges (Left & Right)
Rank: -if below warrant officer, centered on bicep below the "RCAC" badge
-Warrant officer and above centered below elbow, above star level and other badges
-always on right sleeve

-star level closest to the wrist
-other badges centered with star level if there is only one
-stacked evenly if there is more

Left sleeve badges (master cadet, marksmanship, fitness level etc.): -master cadet badge centered below "RCAC"
-Order of placement is Advanced training, Lifeguard, Music, First aid, Fitness, and Marksmanship which is closest to the wrist

Pants Creases
Single crease going down the center of dress pants. Always use steam Iron to make crease. Spray existing creases with water first to iron them flat
Lacing Parade Boots
Feed laces into bottom eyelets and ensure they're even.
Feed right lace up through the second left eyelet. Feed left lace through the third right eyelet (skipping one).
Take left lace across and feed into the second right eyelet and then up through the fourth left eyelet (skipping one).
Continue until both ends reach the last eyelet.
Polishing Parade Boots
Supplies needed: polishing cloth, shoe polish, water
Wrap finger in shining cloth and dip into shoe polish
Apply polish to boot
Dip finger into water and rub small circles into boot
